Part animal, part mineral. Ask it 20 questions. Pippin’s work has a steampunky aesthetic, but surpasses that (to my mind) sometimes too-temptingly-twee designation. His invented animals make the natural world a clockwork, gears and grinding, but they also retain their flesh, used in the pieces.
